The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has expressed sincere appreciation to all stakeholders for their vital contributions to the successful completion of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season. In a statement on the GFA website, the President praised the 18 participating clubs for their resilience, passion, and commitment, which have driven the growth and revival of Ghana’s domestic league.
He highlighted the excitement of matchdays, the emergence of young talents, and the unwavering support from fans nationwide as clear signs that Ghana football is on a strong path toward revival and excellence. The President congratulated Gold Stars FC on winning the league title and encouraged other clubs to build on their efforts for future success.
The statement also acknowledged the essential roles played by match officials, administrators, medical teams, groundsmen, volunteers, and media partners throughout the season. The President paid special tribute to football fans, calling them “the soul of Ghana football” and recognizing their continued support as a key source of inspiration for the sport’s development.
While celebrating the season’s achievements, the President noted some unfortunate incidents at certain match venues. He emphasized the GFA’s commitment to improving safety and respect within the game by enhancing education at the club level and strengthening matchday protocols to create a more secure and inclusive environment for all stakeholders.
As preparations for the 2025/26 season begin, the GFA pledged to build on the current foundation and continue working toward further improvements in Ghana football.
