Alex Kwaku Tetteh, president of Citizen Eye Ghana, has publicly endorsed the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, praising his visionary leadership and development agenda. In a recent press release, Tetteh highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s intellectual superiority after reviewing policy documents from the NPP, NDC, and other aspirants.
Tetteh expressed initial skepticism about the proposed credit card system but acknowledged its success in the USA, where cashless transactions and good credit scores enable easier access to necessities. He commended Dr. Bawumia’s plans and encouraged members of Citizen Eye Ghana to support the Vice President.
He also praised Dr. Bawumia’s innovative approach to agriculture, particularly the poultry sector, noting its potential for massive investment and improvement. “Almost everybody consumes poultry, so investing in this sector will make poultry products more affordable,” Tetteh said.
Regarding import duties, Tetteh welcomed Dr. Bawumia’s proposal for a flat rate, sharing that as protocol officer for the Vehicle and Asset Dealers Association of Ghana (VADAG), his colleagues support the policy and are ready to back the Vice President.
Tetteh further emphasized the media’s crucial role in maintaining peace during the upcoming elections. He urged media houses to ensure fair reportage and educate citizens about all parties’ policy documents. Additionally, he called on all presidential aspirants to publish lists of their potential appointees to help the public assess the competence of their teams ahead of the elections.
