The MP for Assin Central and flagbearer hopeful for NPP, Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong has backed his ability to lead Ghana in beneficial international negotiations and transactions. Speaking passionately in an interview, he said that people do not know of his involvement in many of the major deals by the current and previous NPP government because he has been silent on them. He said that he is well experienced in negotiations, and has sat down to negotiate with governments from major countries outside Africa including China.
He backed his ability to lead Ghana to economic prosperity sighting his role played in the Bui dam project and the Sinohydro project as just a few of the deals he has negotiated on behalf of Ghana’s government.
“I was negotiating deals worth billions of dollars…..if you don’t know, I brought Bui Dam together with Mr Oppong-Bio and also dealt with the Chinese government on the Sinohydro deal” he said.
He urged delegates on to give him the needed support on November 4th so that he can rescue the economy from shambles.
Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong is a major force in the NPP and a strong contender for the flagbearership position in the party. He intimated in the interview that he is for the grassroots, and a chance to lead the party to the December 2024 polls will bring the party victory.
He went ahead to issue a stern warning to the part’s hierarchy to stop interfering in the primaries, stating that interference and intimidation will only mar the voting process.
As the NPP prepares towards the much anticipated primaries on November 4th, many delegates have shown support to Hon. Ken Agyapong as they believe he is the man to help NPP break the 8.
