In a shocking turn of events, a final year General Arts student of O’Reilly Senior High School was tragically stabbed to death by a fellow student on the school premises. The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 3, shortly after the 18-year-old had finished a paper.
Reports indicate that the fight started during an altercation believed to be over wealth, specifically a dispute regarding whose father was richer. A cousin of the deceased, who witnessed the situation, claimed the stabbing erupted during a fight with a fellow student. She also stated that the suspected attacker had threatened the deceased with violence prior to the fatal confrontation.
The cousin further revealed that she had reported the tensions to some teachers, who took no action. This prompted her to rush to her uncle’s shop outside the school to report what was happening, but she did not meet him. Upon her return, she discovered that her cousin had been stabbed.
The victim was a final year Visual Arts student. The suspect has been identified, and the tragic incident has left the school community in a state of shock and mourning.
