Theresa Kufuor, the wife of former President John Agyekum Kufuor, the second President of the Fourth Republic of Ghana has died today, October 1, 2023.
She was a retired nurse and midwife and was a prominent figure during his husband’s regime.
Born: 25 October 1935, he death comes in her birth month as she anticipated celebrating her 88th birthday.
Mrs Theresa Kufuor married John Kufuor in the year 1962 and have been together for 61 years.
Mrs. Kufuor lived most of her working life in the United Kingdom after studying at the Radcliffe Infirmary, Oxford and Paddington General Hospital, London, and qualifying as a State Certified Midwife with a Certificate in Premature Nursing.
She is an important member of NPP as her brother was the late NPP stalwart, J.H. Mensah.
