The official Twitter account for Guinness World Record (GWR) has finally given a verdict on Afua Asantewaa’s Sing-A-thon. The revelation was made in response to a video that criticized GWR for not releasing the results speedily.

The quote reply to the post however was a shocking one as it has brought sorrow to her supporters and Ghanaians at large.

The post of X read “Unfortunately, Afua’s Guinness World Records attempt for the longest singing marathon was not successful, but we hope that she will make another attempt soon. We’ve seen how inspirational it has been for her fans. The evidence check had already begun before Afua requested priority service, so we refunded her payment earlier this month. We wish Afua the best of luck with any future record attempts.”

They however wished Afua the best of luck in her future record attempts. This comes as a shock to many Ghanaians as they were hoping to secure a GWR soon through her attempt.
