The players of Accra hearts of oak look poised to begin this season as they reported for preseason in high spirits. Unlike many other Ghanaian teams, the players reported in their own private cars to their ultra modern training complex. This has only been seen with the Ghana blackstars in recent years. Social media enthusiasts were excited as they exclaimed this to be a gesture worth emulating.

Following the constant complaints about the condition of former players on various media platforms, fans called for more investment in the local league as players deserved to earn good wages. The complaints were grounded on the fact a huge chunk of GFAs budget went to the Ghana Blackstars.
